Terms and Conditions

General Terms:
These terms and conditions apply to all products sold and all purchases. Purchasers must agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this document or notify S&L Designs in writing. Agreement is implied by purchase of products or final acceptance of work order for custom goods. All terms and conditions of sale are included in this document; salespersons' or representatives' verbal or written agreements may not in any way alter these terms or conditions unless previously approved by an officer of S&L Designs.

Payment Terms:
Our terms are 50% Deposit/Balance due upon shipping, PROFORMA, C.O.D., or NET 30 from shipping based on credit approval. We accept cash, check, money order, VISA, MasterCard and AMEX. Please read your terms carefully. Once production has begun, orders may not be changed or cancelled due to the customization of items. A $50.00 fee will be charged for any returned checks. Any customer not on approved credit must pay in full before any order is released. We will be happy to accept VISA, MasterCard or AMEX if it is more conducive to your business practices.

50% Deposit/Balance due upon shipping. Deposit required and balance in full before shipping.
PROFORMA - (all 1st Orders) We will begin production on an order only after full payment is received. This is not C.O.D.
C.O.D. - (Collect on Delivery) The full balance is due upon receipt of the order. The order will not be released without payment.

Existing Accounts:
Net 30 (Approved Credit) The full balance of your orders will be due 30 days from the date the order is acknowledged. A late fee of $15.00 plus a 1 1/2% per month (annual percentage rate of 18%) will be added to all invoices not paid within 30 days. A $50.00 fee will be charged for any returned checks.

S&L Designs uses its discretion to our shipper based on region and service desired. Others are available upon request or as warranted by the order. If your terms are C.O.D., a surcharge will be added to your invoice. Contact our office for further information. Any extra charges are incurred for additional services, such as customer's carrier or special handling by the carrier, must be paid by the customer. Title and risk of loss pass to customer upon tender of the shipment to the common carrier. If product is damaged in transit, customer must file claim with the carrier.

Customer Claims:
Claims for error in number, size or the like must be made within ten (10) days of receipt of products. The customer assumes all responsibility for proper and safe installation and display of the products ordered. S&L Designs is not responsible for damage to this product, the location in which it is displayed, or injury resulting from its installation or misuse.

Returns and Cancellations:
NO ORDER IN PROGRESS SHALL BE CHANGED unless notice of revision is made and accepted in writing BEFORE work is in progress. When you receive your shipment, please carefully inspect it entirely to validate accuracy. Any claims should be reported immediately. After 30 days from receipt of delivery, returns will NOT be accepted. All orders are custom made and returns are accepted only in the case of faulty craftsmanship. Certain exceptions do apply, however a 25% restocking fee will be billed to the entire order less shipping. No cash refunds can be given. Your account will be credited for returned items, less 25% restocking fee. All merchandise must be returned in the original shipping cartons and must be accompanied with a memo stating the date of return, reason of the return, work order number, and (if applicable) the description of the defect.

Quality Control:
All merchandise is shipped in perfect condition. We go to great lengths to Quality Control our goods during production and before shipping and have a zero defect policy. A majority of our items are hand-made and slight imperfections are considered normal. Surfaces show textural sand casting imprints and hammer marks of forging methods. All finishes are applied by hand on a custom basis; therefore, variations in color and shading may occur.

Limited Warranty:
All products sold are warranted by S&L Designs only to customers for resale or for use in business against defects in workmanship or materials under normal use for one year after date of purchase from S&L Designs, unless otherwise stated. Any part which is determined by S&L Designs to be defective in material or workmanship and returned to S&L Designs as S&L designates, shipping costs prepaid, will be, as the exclusive remedy. Repaired or replaced at S&L Designs option.

Warranty disclaimer. No warranty or affirmation of fact express or implied, other than as set forth in the limited warranty statement above is made or authorized by S&L Designs. S&L Designs disclaims any liability for product selection or mis-application, and any description does not express or imply a warranty that the products are merchantable or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability: any liability for consequential and incidental damages is expressly disclaimed. S&L Designs liability in all events is limited to, and shall not exceed, the purchase paid price.
